Today, we offer a diverse portfolio of microcredit products alongside quality healthcare services and various social development programs for six million patrons, working across 22 districts, with a dedicated team of 3,538 caring change makers. Improving Lives of the Urban Extreme poor ( ILUEP )- Amrao Manush Program Objectives: To address the issue of extreme poverty and vulnerability among the poorest section of Bangladesh’s urban population, namely those people who live and sleep on the streets of the country’s urban centers. Period: 2008 - Present Donor: Irish Aid, Concern Worldwide, Broken Earth, Adhunika Foundation, Local Donors Amount: BDT 63838273 Location: Dhaka and Chittagong. 2. Addressing WASH Crisis among RMG Workers Objectives: The project seeks to increase access to WASH facilities for garment workers living in Rupgonj, Narayangonj, for improved health status for themselves and their families. Period: August'2018-December'2020 Donor: HSBC Amount: BDT 37,500,500 Location: Rupgonj, Narayangonj 3. WASH4UP Objectives: This project seeks to ensure improved environmental health and resilience of WASH for deprived urban poor living in slums and low-income settlements. Period: March’ 2018-December’ 2022 Donor: Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) Amount: 109,998,772 Location: Dhaka South City Corporation 4. Enhancing Resources and Increasing Capacities of Poor Households Towards Elimination of their Poverty (ENRICH) Objectives: Integrated program focusing mainly on agriculture and livestock, health, education, and youth development, along with income generation. Through collaborative efforts with the local government and relevant stakeholders, the program aims to raise local community members out of poverty. Promotion of Food Security for the marginal population of Chittagong District Objectives: 1. Increase food production and reduce poverty through introducing modern technology and creating new IGA activities 2. Enhance food processing 3. Promote Marketing 4. Agriculture and Livestock Financing through innovative initiatives Objectives: The program focuses on developing innovative farming and livestock rearing in order to increase productivity and income thereby ensure food security. The activities are undertaken in the Microfinance branches to pilot the innovative ideas , provide training to the farmers which also disburse seasonal agricultural loans Period: 2013- Ongoing Donor: Funding from JICA through Bangladesh Bank Amount: BDT 170,000,000 Location: 22 districts of Bangladesh 7.PROSHOMON Objectives: The project aims to support extreme poor people who are not covered by any other free health cards to access a free package of health, nutrition and family planning services with a high concentration of extreme poor living in slum and squatter settlements with poor health indicators. Working with Women - Phase II Objectives: A recent study found that majority of RMG workers suffered verbal, mental, physical and sexual harassment from employers and colleagues. In this backdrop, the project aims to ensure mental health and wellbeing among women RMG workers and address issues of gender-based violence faced by women in this sector. Malaria Elimination Objectives: The goal of the project is to reduce the overall burden of malaria (morbidity and mortality) by 50% from baseline year 2008 by 2015 (in alignment with MDG 6 targets by 2015) and sustain the low rate beyond that period.
